The Indian Ocean Tsunami Dec. 26, 2004 and the Lunar Nodes

The Lunar Nodes change signs this week.  The Lunar North Node enters the sign of Libra, and the Lunar South Node enters the sign of Aries late Tuesday Feb. 18, just as the Sun enters Pisces ruler of oceans. 
The last time this shift happened in the cardinal signs of Aries and Libra was Dec. 26, 2004, 10 years ago.  On Dec. 26, 2004, the great Indian Ocean Tsunami hit the west coast of Sumatra, Indonesia causing massive devastation.  Although the Lunar Nodes were in opposite signs back then, the Lunar North Node was in Aries and the Lunar South Node was in Libra.  It is a good idea to look back in your personal time machine to Dec. 26, 2004, 10 years ago.

February, love and Valentine's

As your February Horoscope month begins the Moon is a 1^st quarter Moon in the sign of Pisces, ruler of inspiration, dreams, confusion, and miracles.  The 1^st quarter Moon starts out with big dreams and high ideas but they’re fragile and easily crushed by greedy or mean spirited types.

This great cat Gabby passed away yesterday and was released from his faltering body. It was time.

 

The Moon and asteroid Juno aligned with his Aquarius Sun, he was born on Valentine's Day,  while Mars in Virgo had passed his North Node, it was time. Mercury the planet who is the bridge between life and death, stood still in the skies. It was a good day to die.

The Eclipse in Aries could be personally dramatic and exciting!

Tonight we experience and witness a phenomenon that has occurred for eons and is entrenched in fear and awe because of the events it has foretold of throughout time. Aries Amanda Bynes has seen better days, but really?

With her Moon in the fixed but detached sign of Aquarius and squaring Pluto in Scorpio (which has been receiving the Saturn in Scorpio transit since November 2012); this doesn’t speak well of her early nurturing.  Her emotions are detached and in her early years perhaps her feelings were never taken into account, by her family or the people around her.  Other’s motives towards her were kept secret.  She never got the nurturing or understanding she needed as a child.  In many ways she was used.  She has a strong personality that’s acting out in such a way where no one can control her, because they did such a good job of it in the past, its called rebellion.  She’s angry, she’s been betrayed and she doesn’t understand why.  Mercury squares Uranus and the way she’s always communicated and learned to deal with things she didn’t understand was to throw temper tantrums, which works fine when you’re a child not so much as you get older.

Her Venus conjoins the Lunar North Node and she is a good money maker.  Moving into adult hood and not letting anyone especially family make money off you has to be hard.  Part of the problem is that she’s been spit out, blown off, and treated like a pariah when she failed to go along with the program that was set in motion as a child.  So not only does she have a problem growing up and letting go but so does her mother, and family.

Her natal Mars in Capricorn and Neptune in Capricorn ruler of career and work has been aspected by the great Uranus-Pluto square and perhaps she’s felt betrayed and alone for the last 2 years.  Reinventing her career and job opportunities hasn’t been easy. Mars and Neptune together can make on easily enchanted and fall in love way too easily.  In Capricorn this relates to older men.  There’s a hint of secrecy here, and a hint of sexual misbehavior. Someone’s been sold or sold out.

Her natal Saturn (the natural ruler of Capricorn) in Sagittarius squares Jupiter and the planet of intellect and communications Mercury squares Uranus, her education has gaps and perhaps she should take this time to mature and go back to school.  She communicates in an erratic way.   She might even have learning disabilities, which are manifesting in a bipolar way.

What does the future hold for Amanda Bynes?

Since the planet Saturn in Scorpio has conjoined her Pluto in Scorpio she’s stopped for the time being.  As the Lunar Nodes conjoin her natal Pluto, square her Moon and Lilith, she may have to be stopped again, and she could attempt something more dangerous September through December, is going to be the time when she has to pull herself together.

As the Uranus Pluto square aspects her Aries Sun beginning in March 2014 she may have a flash of understanding, go back to work and become the person she was meant to be.  This may mean separating from people around her yet again. She’s going to need help growing up and facing reality as he goes through her Saturn return in 2015.  If she makes it through these difficult times, we’ll see more of her!

 

The Lunar Nodes, Snakes and Serpents?

The Lunar Nodes represent our past life karma, but that doesn’t just include our good and bad deeds it includes our DNA, our soul root or sometimes soul group and even what path we take spiritually in this lifetime.  Typically, those people with strong nodal placements and aspects have a lifetime curiosity about all things spiritual. The Lunar Nodes are also referred to as the Dragon’s head and the Dragon’s tail.  The North Node is the Dragon’s head and the South Node is the Dragon’s tail.  The Sefer Yetzirah tells us the Lunar Nodes is another dimension where spirits inhabit.  In Hindu Astrology there's an Aspect called Kaala Sarpa Dosha, where the Lunar Nodes conjoin or hem in the Moon, and it's called the Curse of the Serpent, and stems from harming snakes, reptiles, etc.  In Tibetan Buddhism they go to great lengths to appease these snake or Naga Spirits. 

What are they really? They have the power to convey great wealth on someone, sudden windfalls, or great hurdles and sickness.  In a spiritual sense they are the mythological Naga or snake Spirits.   The inhabitants of springs, lakes, rivers, streams, waterfalls, oceans, deserts, and mountains; and when disrupted or harmed by pollution, or construction, they enact their vengeance.  They are great healers too and the symbol for medicine is two snakes entwined.  Is your chart afflicted by the Lunar Nodes? You could have inadvertently harmed the environment of these creatures.   Since the planet Saturn will conjoin the Lunar North Node Sept. 17^th at 8*34’ degrees Scorpio it’s time to take a look at the Lunar Nodes.
