The Lunar Nodes represent our past life karma, but that
doesn’t just include our good and bad deeds it includes our DNA, our soul root
or sometimes soul group and even what path we take spiritually in this lifetime. Typically, those people with strong nodal
placements and aspects have a lifetime curiosity about all things spiritual. The
Lunar Nodes are also referred to as the Dragon’s head and the Dragon’s
tail. The North Node is the Dragon’s
head and the South Node is the Dragon’s tail.
The Sefer Yetzirah tells us the Lunar Nodes is another dimension where spirits
inhabit. In Hindu Astrology there's an Aspect called Kaala Sarpa Dosha, where the Lunar Nodes conjoin or hem in the Moon, and it's called the Curse of the Serpent, and stems from harming snakes, reptiles, etc. In Tibetan Buddhism they go to great lengths to appease these snake or Naga Spirits.
What are they really? They have the power to convey great
wealth on someone, sudden windfalls, or great hurdles and sickness. In a spiritual sense they are the mythological
Naga or snake Spirits. The inhabitants of springs, lakes, rivers,
streams, waterfalls, oceans, deserts, and mountains; and when disrupted or
harmed by pollution, or construction, they enact their vengeance. They are great healers too and the symbol for
medicine is two snakes entwined. Is your
chart afflicted by the Lunar Nodes? You could have inadvertently harmed the
environment of these creatures. Since the planet Saturn will conjoin the Lunar North Node Sept. 17th at 8*34’ degrees Scorpio it’s time to take a look at the Lunar Nodes.
