Venus Retrograde

The planet Venus has disappeared from earth’s view.  She’ll emerge soon as our Morning Star in about a week.  This period of time when Venus disappears from view was considered ominous to the Mayans who worshiped the planet Venus.  Her symbol 5 staves and 8 circles were everywhere in their art.  To the Mayans Venus was not just the planet of fertility but of war.  The 5 staves indicated her wobbly orbit and the 8 circles her 8 year cycle.  Like now, Venus is in an 8 year cycle.  Looking back to March 2009 Venus retrograded at the same degrees.
