Venus Retrograde

The planet Venus has disappeared from earth’s view.  She’ll emerge soon as our Morning Star in about a week.  This period of time when Venus disappears from view was considered ominous to the Mayans who worshiped the planet Venus.  Her symbol 5 staves and 8 circles were everywhere in their art.  To the Mayans Venus was not just the planet of fertility but of war.  The 5 staves indicated her wobbly orbit and the 8 circles her 8 year cycle.  Like now, Venus is in an 8 year cycle.  Looking back to March 2009 Venus retrograded at the same degrees. Venus now rules over marriage, relationships, wealth and beauty.  These things, marriage, relationships, wealth and beauty have to be handled carefully, very carefully.  A lighter approach to love and romance probably works best now.
