May's Planets

Over the next 2 weeks Mercury (the magician) Mars (the instigator) and Saturn (the referee) are all on one team...the opposing team. The Big News tonight is the Saturn-Uranus opposition it occurs on April 26th. What does that mean for you personally though? The opposition is an aspect where the two sides have no common meeting ground. They are completely opposite. Still you’ll hear astrologers say that opposites do attract! In this opposition it’s the young (Uranus) against the old (Saturn) the new rebellion against the establishment, or new ideas conflicting with the established way of doing things. Is that it? Is that all it means? No! The outer planets rule creation, the greater cosmic plan! We are all part of the story of creation and chaos too.


The last Saturn-Uranus opposition was about 44 years ago during the 60’s. There was free love, the Hippie generation, Flower Power, the Vietnam War and a young hip president.

The Saturn Uranus opposition that culminates or is building up in tenseness through April 26th could bring physical conditions as well. Twinkle, twinkle little star, how i wonder what you are

My favorite song when I was a little girl was of course Twinkle, twinkle little star but the journey to being one of the Worlds best Astrologers ever hasn’t been all that glitters.

My first experience with the heavens was being alone in my backyard with the biggest Full Moon imaginable and hanging on to my backyard fence and watching it all by myself. I felt something; I felt an intelligence, which has carried me through to who I am today. I still get those experiences. After being detained in Mexico the car driving me back to the airport was followed by the Pleiades star cluster, literally and I felt a connection then too. The feeling was not to worry but let go and let the universe carry me through, I did, and it did.
I am always shocked to see how the natural rhythm of the universe works. On the day of my divorce I couldn’t have planned it better, if there was any question in my mind about doing the right thing; my divorce was final on a New Moon and the auspicious day of the Bengali New Year, who knew? It didn’t feel auspicious so I guess I just have to take universe’s word for it.
For someone who grew up in what a former boyfriend said were humble beginnings I have lived most of my entire adult life behind walls and in gated communities with lots of people around me. For me, being alone is freeing. It takes me back to those rare moments in my life when I have been alone, a little girl connecting with an amazing Full Moon.

Saturn re-enters the sign of Virgo today

Today Saturn re-enters the sign of Virgo, and as the Saturn-Uranus opposition culminates remember some things are beyond your control.
