Weekly Horoscopes Oct 12-Oct 19, 2009

Horoscopes for the Week of October 12-October 19th 2009 by Terry Nazon

Jupiter the planet of abundance goes direct and not a moment too soon. In Aquarius Jupiter, acts like a catalyst to get things moving. In the 1st quarter of 2009 we were excited. Things were going to change finally. We all enjoyed moving in new directions and getting a glimpse of what our futures could be like. Then, Jupiter went retrograde and perhaps at one point or another each one of us thought things were moving a bit too fast for comfort. Obama’s “Yes, we can” turned to maybe we can’t. Well, we are ready once again to trip the light fantastic with Jupiter and head for the future. So hang on to your hats as “Yes, we can” makes a comeback!

Another little known habit of the sign of Aquarius is that it brings people, places, situations and circumstances back to us from the past. So don’t blink you just might get a second chance at something or someone you thought was forever gone.
Venus the planet of love and attraction enters Libra its home.

Saturn in Libra It's Karma Time

Saturn the planet of creating foundations in our lives and pointing out our mistakes in order to correct them will enter Libra, just days before Halloween. Saturn is in the sign of it's exaltation in Libra, meaning that it is well placed in Libra. The glyph of the sign of Libra explains what the sign is about. It's neither a human glyph nor animal glyph, unlike all the other zodiac signs it's glyph is simply the scales. The scales Libra represent karmic justice, the impersonal, impartial, fair, and just scales of karma. Judgment is made swiftly but not arbitrarily between right and wrong. As a man reaps so shall he sow Saturn in Libra accelerates the process. Saturn magnifies the punishment for not choosing correctly, and not doing the right thing.

Ever wonder if that person who did you dirty will ever pay or wonder if there really was such a thing as karma, well now you get to experience it first hand. In your own personal life you may be asked to do what is right, which may not always be the easiest thing to do, nor the most self motivated thing to do. As we move into this new experience of Saturn in Libra prepare yourselves, for the tough questions and judgments between right and wrong. Need more Call 954-473-0720

Mercury Retrograde Sept. 6th -Sept. 29th

Surviving Mercury Retrograde rx

Mercury the planet of communications goes retrograde at 6° Libra, Sept. 6th or 7th depending on which time zone you are in, until May 30th. Mercury will retrograde back to 21° Virgo where it was last on Aug. 21st.  This is significant in that Mercury retrograde is a repetitive aspect. The planet passes through the 1st time, retrogrades back for the 2nd pass, and goes direct for the 3rd pass; giving us all time to work out the kinks from the events of the month prior and giving us a 2nd chance at events we might have thought passed us by. Normally, we might not get a 2nd chance to correct, change or go back. Typically we as humans don't see it that way though, every time something doesn't work out as planned we think we are being picked on, singled out, victimized and punished for some unknown karma. Not so! Life on Earth would clip along at a very quick pace and never give us a 2nd or 3rd chance to correct or refine anything, if it were'nt for retrograde periods.
Is there something over the past month you would have done differently, or said differently? Well, you just might have a 2nd and 3rd chance to change or rectify it! The period then from Sept.6th-October 13th when finally Mercury transits past its retrograde point of 6° Libra, gives us the same Mercury experience from Aug. 21st. It's a longer period of influence than most people realize!

Let’s face it, Planets aren't really retrograde! They are not really going backwards in the sky! They only appear to do so through the naked eye, because they are at their furthest point from Earth. Think about it for a minute, something really far away doesn't appear to move, even though it might be moving right? So it is with retrograde planets. Their movement is distorted because their orbit has taken them far away from us! Distance does produce different colors and so it is with planets. Planets retrograde are not reflecting their normal colors on us; this is called "Red Shift". The planet reflects on us a different color light energy, and this can be considered the antithesis or opposite color. In fact when Mercury is retrograde we are without the influence of its energy. Mercury keeps things in order to some degree, communications, electricity, the fine running of machinery, the weather, our thoughts, and of course our memory! We have to work harder under Mercury retrograde to remember all is not as it appears for us and for others.

Typically astrologers tell people not to sign documents, make binding decisions, schedule important meetings, start relationships, or take important trips. This isn't always possible though so I tell people to do these things with the intent of revisiting the action, being flelxible to changes, after Mercury goes direct. Plan for the fact that things could need to be re-done or revised during the retrograde period. Starting new love relationships isn't encouraged as people you meet during Mercury retrograde can seem perfect until Mercury goes direct and then the fizzle fades.

Remember, during Mercury retrograde Life doesn't stop does it? Life isn't a train you can get off because Mercury has gone retrograde is it? During Mercury retrograde do your normal activities, realize that things could run amuck and plan for it. If you have to enter an agreement tell the person, that you would like to do more research or if you have to start a project do so with the intent that it is in the "testing" stages and you are working out the kinks. Mercury retrograde is great for working out the kinks, testing and research, because it will show you everything that could go wrong and that's important information to have!
Mercury is the messenger planet and is always transiting ahead of Mars, which is action or reaction. Mercury sends the message to Mars to act or not. However, as soon as Mercury goes direct Mars will be ahead of Mercury.  Could this mean an attack or act of war?

I know just when you were thinking you can't take much more, another Saturn-Uranus opposition is in play this week.  It's a good thing though because it's a culmination of energy that bursts and hopefully alleviates the pressure in your life!  The Big News is the Saturn-Uranus opposition the 1st occurs on November 4th the day of the presidential elections. What does that mean for you personally though? The opposition is an aspect where the two sides have no common meeting ground. They are completely opposite. Still opposites do attract! You’ll hear astrologers say it’s the young (Uranus) against the old (Saturn) the new rebellion against the establishment, or new ideas conflicting with the established way of doing things. Is that it? Is that all it means? No! The outer planets rule creation, the greater cosmic plan! We are part of the story of creation and chaos too.

The last Saturn-Uranus oppositions were about 44 years ago during the 60’s. Free love, the Hippie generation, Flower Power, the Vietnam War and a young hip president were all issues of the 60’s

April 1st, 1965 Saturn in Pisces 11*, Opposed Uranus in Virgo 11*

August, 28th 1965 Saturn in Pisces 14*, Opposed Uranus in Virgo 14*

February 24th Saturn in Pisces 18*Opposed Uranus in Virgo 18*

The planet Pluto was never far away in Virgo.

Now it’s switched with Saturn in Virgo, and Uranus in Pisces. The generation that was young and created the rebellion of the 60’s is now the older generation, the establishment. How far have we come, what have we become?

Now the opposition occurs 5 times through July 26, 2010.

Nov. 4th, 2008 Saturn in Virgo 18* opposing Uranus in Pisces 18*

Feb. 5th 2009 Saturn in Virgo 20* opposing Uranus in Pisces 20*

Sept. 15th, 2009 Saturn in Virgo 24* opposing Uranus in Pisces 24*

April 26th 2010 Saturn in Virgo 28* opposing Uranus in Pisces 28*

July 26th, 2010 Saturn in Libra 0* opposing Uranus in Aries 0*

And Pluto is still never far away!

It still doesn’t answer the question what does it all mean. The Saturn –Uranus oppositions mean that there is a cosmic job fair being held and the universe has positions open and available to qualified applicants. Anyone with planets between 19*-29*preferably in mutable planets of Gemini and Sagittarius can apply. However, people with planets in Virgo and Pisces are welcome to apply also. In fact if any of your planets occur within the range of 19*-29*, you can be apart of the great creative process! You can help bridge this opposition for the rest of us. You will connect the opposing sides and give meaning and be an outlet for the energy. You will tell us what to do! The Job is to help change the world. We need people with the Gemini influence between 19*-29* degrees to help us see both sides of the situation, and to start a dialog, to get us talking about things; to be a bridge. We need people with Sagittarius planets between 19*-29* degrees, to write about the changes they see coming and to make us laugh and see the changes as an adventure not something to be feared; to be a bridge! Many will hear the announcement but, perhaps won’t listen. That’s what usually happens with cosmic calls. Many get the message but don’t do anything! In part, because, you do have to put aside your own personal desires, interests, perhaps your personal life and submit yourself to the cosmic consciousness to do the job.

Then, the universe is going to need people born with planets in the cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn, at 0*, to help us start over. To take the lead, and lead us in a new direction! We’ll need decision makers and self starters! We will need bridges and only people can be bridges to the cosmic plan. The universe needs people to participate in the next phase of the creative process. You can be the bridge to opposition between Saturn in Libra and Uranus in Aries and to be the connective force. So in the creative consciousness it’s people who bridge the gap, make the connection and put it all together. We are part of the creative force; in fact we are the missing links in creation. The opposition between these two great planets is nothing and will be nothing without people taking their destined roles and helping out!

October 2009

October 2009

During the first 4 days of October, Mercury and Mars form a rare aspect with each other. When the planet Mercury comes out of retrograde in Virgo at 21* it is actually transiting behind Mars the planet of action in Cancer at 21*. This is rare because typically Mercury the messenger planet transits ahead of Mars. Mars in Cancer is now sending Mercury the message in a preemptive strike. Along with the dramatic Full Moon in Aries, both the Full Moon and the planet Mars are in each others places of power. The drama unfolds.

Mercury in Virgo matters pertain to health. Currently there is a health scare with the swine flu outbreak predicted. It also relates to communications, weather and the internet. In Virgo it’s procrastination that causes the most problems. Not taking care or being prepared for something then, dealing with the crisis or aftermath of having not been ready or sufficiently prepared. This happens with acts of nature. Hurricanes, storms, earth quakes floods. People know its coming and yet don’t take action. Another typical reaction of Mercury in Virgo is not getting involved when you know something isn’t right; Mars in Cancer is another story. Mars is in its fall in the sign of Cancer. The planet Mars is squaring its natural place in the zodiac, Cancer. Fire sign Mars meets emotion in water sign Cancer. Fire meets homes, dysfunctional emotions meets with violence, and destructive emotions and passions are uncontrolled by the usual safe guards.

So during those first days of October, we have a destructive pattern of passionate or overly emotional behavior. Mercury in Virgo procrastinates knowing full well something could happen but hopes for the best.
Family crisis, domestic abuse, attacks on the internet, crimes of passion, social unrest, and attacks, are all possible outcomes. Played out against a backdrop of people feeling that they are not in control, or that their communities, courts or government aren’t doing enough. Poor economic news and escalating social unrest result. It can mark a time of violent rioting, crimes of passion, internet hacking, storms and eruptions.

Additionally the first 4 days of October coincide with the police codes, 10-0, Caution, 10-1 Reception Poor, 10-2 Reception Good, 10-3 Stop Transmitting, 10-4 Message Received.
